The world's leading intellectual Professor Noam Chomsky gave a lecture at a private university in Karachi via video link.
Noam Chomsky said that after 20 years of visiting Pakistan, science has apparently disappeared from the education system in Pakistan, if Pakistan does not come out of the world of religious superstitions, it has no future.
He said that the present generation is facing questions that have never appeared in human history and these questions are a burden and a challenge.
Noam Chomsky warned that the threat of nuclear war is growing in the world, if no action is taken, the risk of environmental catastrophe is also high, South Asia is facing the dangers of climate change.
Referring to Corona, the intellectual said that we will pay a very expensive and inevitable price for Corona epidemic. South Korea competed well against Corona virus but the United States, India and Brazil did not take good measures against Corona.
He said that the American people have been subjected to propaganda by the right wing, that the Chinese vaccine is in the critical stages of testing, that the Chinese vaccine may be available first, and that the US government is undermining Chinese measures.
Noam Chomsky expressed concern that Trump could form an alternative government while Modi-led secularism in India is under threat.

نوم چومسکی کا کہنا تھا کہ پاکستان کا دورہ کیے ہوئے 20 سال ہوگئے، پاکستان میں بظاہر نظام تعلیم سے سائنس غائب ہوچکی، اگرپاکستان مذہبی توہمات کی دنیا سے باہر نہیں آئے گا تو اس کا کوئی مستقبل نہیں۔
ان کا کہنا تھا کہ موجودہ نسلوں کو ان سوالوں کا سامنا ہے جو انسانی تاریخ میں کبھی ظاہر نہیں ہوئے اور یہ سوالات ایک بوجھ اور چیلنج ہیں۔
نوم چومسکی نے خبردار کیا کہ دنیا میں جوہری جنگ کا خطرہ بڑھ رہا ہے، اگر اقدامات نہ کیے تو ماحولیاتی تباہی کا خطرہ بھی سر اٹھائے کھڑا ہے، جنوبی ایشیا کو ماحولیاتی تبدیلی سے جڑے خطرات کا سامنا ہے۔
کورونا کے حوالے سے دانشور کا کہنا تھا کہ ہم کورونا کی وبا سے بہت مہنگی اور ناگزیر قیمت چکا کر نکلیں گے، جنوبی کوریا نے کورونا وائرس کا اچھا مقابلہ کیا لیکن امریکا، بھارت اور برازیل نے کورونا کے خلاف اچھے اقدامات نہیں کیے۔
ان کا کہنا تھا کہ امریکی عوام دائیں بازو کی طرف سے پروپیگنڈا کا شکار ہوئی، چین کی ویکسین ٹیسٹ کے اہم مراحل میں ہے، چینی ویکسین پہلے دستیاب ہوسکتی ہے، امریکی حکومت چینی اقدامات کو نیچا دکھارہی ہے۔
نوم چومسکی نے خدشے کا اظہار کیا کہ ٹرمپ متبادل حکومت بناسکتے ہیں جبکہ مودی کی قیادت میں بھارت میں سیکولرازم کو خطرہ ہے۔
