The federal government has asked the four provincial governments and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to use all available means to arrest more than 1,200 people, including MQM founder Altaf Hussain, who is on the most wanted list.

The list released by the FIA includes the name of MQM founder Altaf Hussain as well as his close associate Muhammad Anwar. These people have been declared notorious in the case of murder of Dr. Imran Farooq and also cases of making speeches against the state have been registered against them.

The Interior Ministry has directed the four provincial governments to prioritize the arrest of those working against the country's integrity and those involved in sectarianism to improve the law and order situation in the country.

According to an Interior Ministry official, officials from the National Anti-Terrorism Agency (NICTA) have also been instructed to review the laws in place in various developed countries and make recommendations on the arrest of those involved in serious crimes. By implementing them, the arrest of the accused could be ensured.
