Ahsan Raza: Pakistani umpire injured in attack on Sri Lankan cricket team is close to setting a new world record

Just a month after, the terrorist, attack on the Sri Lankan, cricket team, I well remember when I spoke, to umpire Ahsan Raza, on the phone on April 4, 2009, he was undergoing, treatment, at a hospital in Lahore. He was out of breath, and could barely speak, but all he could say was that he should, start umpiring again as soon as possible.

Ahsan Raza not only returned, to the field of cricket on the strength, of his will but also once again joined the mainstream, of international umpiring and now the situation, is that he is about to complete, half a century of umpiring in T20 International, matches. The first to be honored, to be the umpire.

The second T20 International, between Pakistan and Zimbabwe, to be played in Rawalpindi, on November 8 will be Ahsan Raza's 50th T20 International, match as field umpire.
