Five independent candidates who won the Gilgit-Baltistan elections have joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Independent candidates who have joined PTI from GBA 9 Skardu 3 are Wazir Saleem, independent candidate from GBA 10 Skardu 4 Raja Nasir, independent candidate from GBA 22 Ganchha 1 Mushtaq Hussain, GBA 23 Independent candidate Abdul Hameed from Ganchha 2 and independent candidate Javed Manwa from GBA 5 Nagar 1 are included.
It may be recalled that in the November 15 elections in Gilgit-Baltistan, independent candidates had won in 7 out of 23 constituencies while 9 PTI candidates had won and after the inclusion of independent candidates, the number of PTI members has increased to 14.
On the other hand, Federal Minister for Communications Murad Saeed said in a statement that not only the PTI government but also a strong government is going to be formed in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Murad Saeed says PTI has become a two-thirds majority party in Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said that the reason for the deprivation of Gilgit-Baltistan is the PPP and PML-N. These two parties gave nothing but deprivation to Gilgit-Baltistan. The people rejected them due to their incompetence.
