Supreme Court orders hearing of corruption cases on daily basis

The Supreme Court has ordered to hear corruption cases on a daily basis.
The apex court directed the accountability courts to decide the cases as soon as possible during the Lakhra power plant irregularity case and said that the process of recording evidence should be expedited and completed as soon as possible.
The Supreme Court also directed the accountability courts not to adjourn cases and directed the NAB chairman to ensure implementation of court orders.
The apex court said that the prosecutor general NAB should ensure the attendance of prosecution witnesses.
The apex court directed the accountability court in Karachi to decide the Lakhra power plant case within a week and said that the statements of the prosecution and the witnesses of the accused should be recorded by November 2.
The court also sought an implementation report from the Registrar Accountability Court Karachi.
