The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) summit is underway in Islamabad in which PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif has proposed to submit the resignations of opposition members to PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who has recovered from Korona, is also attending an important meeting of PDM leaders chaired by Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad.
According to sources, addressing the meeting via video link from London, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif suggested that all members of the PDM assembly submit their resignations to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who would present them to the Speaker at the end of the long march. ۔
Sources said that Nawaz Sharif's proposal has been supported by all parties.
It may be recalled that at the All Parties Conference (APC) held on September 20, it was decided that a decisive long march towards Islamabad would be held in January 2021 after nationwide protests and rallies from the PDM platform.
