The federal government has sacked 4,544 employees of Pakistan Steel Mills, the largest national steelmaker.

ترجمان اسٹیل ملز کے مطابق جن ملازمین کو برطرف کیا گیا ہے ان میں پے گروپ 2، 3، 4 کے ملازمین کے علاوہ جونیئر آفیسرز (جے اوز) اسسٹنٹ منیجرز ، ڈویژنل منیجر، ڈی سی ای، ڈی جی ایم اور منیجرز بھی شامل ہیں۔
ترجمان کے مطابق ملازمین کو بذریعہ ڈاک برطرفی کے خطوط ارسال کردیے ہیں۔

According to the spokesperson, the staff of Steel Mill schools and colleges were not sacked while the corporate secretaries of the departments were not sacked.
It may be recalled that on June 9 this year, the Federal Cabinet had approved the proposal of the Economic Co-ordination Committee (ECC) to dismiss the employees of Pakistan Steel Mills by giving them a golden handshake.
The Economic Co-ordination Committee, in its meeting on June 3, 2020, had recommended the dismissal of more than 9,000 employees of Pakistan Steel by giving them a golden handshake.
In this regard, Federal Minister for Industries and Production Hamad Azhar said that the employees will get an average of 2.3 million per employee under the Golden Handshake package, which is also a maximum of 7 to 8 million.
